Because we understand the magnitude of our responsibility to local communities, our educational initiatives are focused and results-driven, requiring dedicated and sustained on-the-ground involvement.
In line with our focus on education and youth development, we began our partnership with Sithokozile Secondary School, located in KwaDabeka Township, west of Durban, in 2012.
The Beier Group, school personnel and the PPR Education Trust work together to encourage academic excellence, balanced with a comprehensive life skills programme that helps learners cope with their daily challenges and recognise future opportunities.
In addition to the Mathematics and Science Improvement Programme and the Life Skills and Work Readiness Programme, our support for Sithokozile includes sponsorship of school equipment and bursaries for high-performing learners.
Sithokozile’s vastly improved 2018 Matric results are testament to the effectiveness of our initiatives. To build on these successes, we will be investing in Sithokozile’s IT infrastructure to transform the classroom experience for both learners and teachers.
